Surveillance is the monitoring of behavior, activities, or information for the purpose of influencing, managing or directing. This can include observation from a distance by means of electronic equipment, such as closed-circuit television (CCTV), or intercept of electronically transmitted information, such as Internet traffic (which is not a permitted listing).

  • Video-only surveillance (without sound recording feature)
  • Video cameras
  • Baby monitors
  • Night vision accessories

Examples, but not limited, of Prohibited Listings

  • Intercept devices, for example:
    • Bugging devices
    • Wiretapping devices
  • Devices used for hacking, descrambling, or obtaining information otherwise would not obtain
  • Devices designed to facilitate the secret viewing or recording of individuals for sexual purposes
