This warning should be on your listing: Before Using a Pesticide

The Law Defines a “pesticide” (with certain minor exceptions) as:

  • Any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling, or mitigating any pest.
  • Any substance or mixture of substances intended for use as a plant regulator, defoliant, or desiccant.
  • Any nitrogen stabilizer
  • Products that claim to kill any antimicrobial, antifungal, antibacterial (for example, products marketed to disinfect, insects’ repellents, etc.) may be considered pesticides or pesticide devices under EPA regulations, even if the products would not otherwise be considered pesticides or pesticide devices under the EPA’s definition of a pesticide. Pesticide Device

An instrument or contrivance (other than a firearm) used to destroy, repel, trap, or mitigate (lessen the severity of) any pest such as insects, weeds, rodents, certain other animals, birds, mold/mildew, bacteria, and viruses.

  • Note: Medical instruments or machines used to kill pests in or on living humans or animals are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration and, as such, not accepted to be listed on Zona Shoppers.
